Bleeding Heart - Original Framed Artwork

Artwork Title: “Bleeding Heart"

The heart, like the mind, is a complex matter. It has many layers, facets and mysteries. This abstract pen and ink drawing illustrates the many folds a heart can reveal. It's showing both simplicity and complexity while simultaneously revealing its pain and beauty. Like moths to a flame, it has the power to gravitate, attract, and yet emanate. While dominantly black and white, the subject matter is shown pierced with an arrow that reveals that this heart is made of gold as it bleeds. Like some hearts, we may not show all of our true nature on the outside, but our true intent was always golden on the inside. This original abstract piece of artwork is intended for the viewers to interpret through their own minds and heart the meaning behind the subject. Like all hearts, it is fickle and elusive. Like all minds we will see things differently. This work shows a thing of mystifying beauty.

ARTWORK CARE

PRINTS:

Limited signed giclée prints should be treated with delicacy and care similar to the original artwork to help preserve its longevity. Below are recommendations to help care for your artwork.

  • For large 18" X 24" prints handle using the provided white gloves when handling your prints or original artwork.
  • Handle minimally to avoid stains, scratching, unnecessary creases, and damaging folds. Handle along the edges to prevent any damage to the central art portion.
  • Keep art prints in room temperature settings away from excessive heat, cold, and moisture to avoid possible damage. Avoid excessive direct sunlight when possible.
  • Have it professionally framed at your local frame shop sooner rather than later. Ensure the papers used in framing, including the mat, are acid-free materials to avoid yellowing and staining the original artwork over time. This will help in the longevity of the artwork. Frame your artwork using non-glare glass or plexiglass. This will also help minimize fading over time.
  • Avoid storing or hanging your artwork in damp, moist locations.
  • Avoid heavy chemicals and abrasive cloths when cleaning your framed artwork. Use minimal cleaning solutions and dusting to avoid possible damage and scratches.
  • DO NOT laminate your artwork. Discoloration and irreversible damage will occur over time.
